The Music Scholars programme at St James’s started in the Autumn of 2021. Their musical talents and creativity will enhance the music of our services until the end of July 2022.
‘My name is Venetia and I am an alto. I have been living and working in London for just over two years.
I was introduced to liturgical singing after leaving Sixth Form and have been hooked ever since! Whilst studying Geography at Oxford, I held a choral scholarship at Keble College, where I had the opportunity to take part in several recordings, tours and performances.
As a soloist, I love to sing Jazz and Soul music and am delighted to be singing in an environment that values and encourages different musical styles.
I’m excited to develop my skills as a singer at St James’s, and look forward to seeing what is in store for the year ahead!’
